Capacity field ready for Daytona 24

A capacity grid is set to race for glory in the 61st Rolex 24 At Daytona on January 28-29, 2023.
The day-long race on the 5.73km Daytona road course has grown to be one of the biggest annual sports car endurance races in the world and next year’s edition looks set to be yet another example.
Last year the Wayne Taylor Racing stranglehold on the event was broken by Tom Blomqvist, Hello Castroneves, Oliver Jarvis and Simon Pagenaud when they steered an Acura ARX-05 to glory in what proved to be the third closest race in history.
The last Australian and Kiwi to win the race did it together with Ryan Briscoe and Scott Dixon being victorious in 2020.
Former Supercars champion and current IndyCar star Scott McLaughlin will make his Daytona 24 debut with Tower Motorsports in the #8 ORECA LMP2 07 in the Le Mans Prototype 2 class
Many Australians will also be focusing on the Porsche Penske Motorsports squad with Aussie International and IMSA champion Matt Campbell expected to be one of the powerhouse team’s leading drivers in the new 963.
Campbell will race with former Brazilian Formula 1 Sauber driver Felipe Nasr for the entire 2023 IMSA season and will look to repeat similar success to last year at the Daytona 24 when they teamed up for a class win.

Matt Campbell has had a couple of Porsche 963 tests and will race the new machine in the GTP class at Daytona.
