Donkervoort seemed like it was missing out on all the action in recent years of supercars undergoing major transformations to keep up with the times, but not anymore. The much-awaited, ground-breaking F22 is here to set new supercar standard for 2023.
When we speak of supercar standards, we’re talking of handling, design, usability, driving dynamics and performance. The new F22 brings all of this while retaining the Dutch supercar maker’s signature open-wheel design.
It now comes with a removable Twin Targa carbon-fiber roof, hydraulic ride-height adjustment and active suspension. It’s far better than the D8 GTO Individual Series in terms of practicality, without forgetting it’s a supercar.
Donkervoort F22 Is A Mid-Engine Turbo Screamer
The engine produces 500hp and 472 lb-ft of torque, and sends it to the rear wheels, resulting in a mind-boggling power-to-weight ratio of 666hp per ton – all in a lightweight car, weighing in at just 1653 lbs. Its 5-cylinder turbocharged engine can catapult it from 0-62mph in just 2.5 seconds, putting it right up there with the Ferraris and Lamborghinis.
Donkervoort claims there is no speed limited, and the car will top out at 180mph. So it’s going to leave behind all the top speed-limited Mercedes-AMGs out there in a straight line, and a racetrack as well. The car also features a new braking system.
