Former Supercars young gun to enter rallying world

Former Supercars driver Alex Rullo will enter the rallying world full time next year by competing in the Australian Rally Championship with new Hyundai machinery.
RallySport Magazine has reported two new Hyundai i20 N Rally2 cars will arrive in Australia early next year to participate in the 2023 national championship.
Fronting the driving duties for the Korean brand will be Rullo, who is planning on running a two-car ARC operation with his father Peter.

The younger Rullo last raced in Supercars in 2019 alongside Simona De Silvestro and has been away from the spotlight since.
But he has now turned his attention to rallying, having made his initial foray at numerous Targa tarmac events in a Lamborghini.
In May Rullo made his ARC debut in Western Australia and most recently competed at the Supercheap Auto Coffs Coast Rally where he recorded an eighth place overall finish despite almost rolling his Mitsubishi Evo.

The 22-year-old finished 17th in the standings and has aspirations of rising up the ladder in 2023 when he teams up with experienced co-driver Steve Glenney.
