The Cizeta-Moroder V16T is easily one of the most memorable supercars ever conceived, despite its essential obscurity. Created from the mind of former Lamborghini test driver and engineer, Claudio Zampolli, the V16T was never intended to see anything near the amount of worldwide success that the car’s competitors were having.
Following Chrysler’s acquisition of Lamborghini in 1987, several former employees of the famed Italian marque were then gathered by Zampolli to create an utterly fantastic display of raw power and flamboyant excess, notions that essentially defined the brand as a whole, sharing roots with its Lamborghini lineage. With renowned composer Giorgio Moroder putting up half the bill, the Cizeta V16T became something of an oddity; a high-end supercar, built with strong craftsmanship, offering blistering performance.
Regardless of quality, power, and speed, the Cizeta V16T would never become bred into the rampant numbers seen by its European contemporaries, and yet, it’s apparently still available to be ordered new.
