Two years ago, Acura unveiled the second iteration of their flagship TLX sedan. Launching for the 2021 model year, the Acura TLX made the headlines for its athletic design highlighted by the diamond pentagon grille, premium cabin quality, and customizable driving performance. This model year also brought back the ever-so-loved Type S model, which was the sportiest of the bunch, with a more refined 3.0-liter V6 engine, lowered chassis, and lots of tech features. With so much on offer that year, the vehicle remained unchanged the following model year.
For the 2023 model year, the brand hasn’t made a lot of changes either, in terms of design and all that. Instead, the 2023 Acura TLX and TLX Type S offer brand-new complimentary services: all TLXs now come with three years of free AcuraLink access as well as free scheduled maintenance for the first two years of ownership. The 2023 lineup also includes a brand-new, limited-edition Type S PMC Edition, which is available in special colors.
Engine options include a 272-horsepower turbo-four or a 355-hp turbo-V6, which, combined with an appealing price tag, make for an interesting pick in the segment. Speaking of which, pricing ranges between $39,650 and $62,000 and already started arriving in dealerships just last month. For the 2023 model year, the Acura TLX challenges the BMW 3-Series, the Genesis G70, the Alfa Romeo Giulia, and the Kia Stinger.
We’re going over some of the 2023 Acura TLX’s best qualities and explaining…
