Richard Rawlings Checks Out A Ford GT That Goes 310 MPH

Known as the “BADD GT”, Richard and the crew see what the world’s fastest street-legal car can do as it reaches speeds north of 300 mph.
We’re used to seeing a ton of cool classic cars and muscle cars over on Richard Rawlings and Gas Monkey Garage’s YouTube channel, but here’s something a little different.
It’s still an awesome sports car, but in reality, it’s an iconic racer – the Ford GT – that gets fully modified in order to become the world’s fastest road-legal car.
Previously no one managed to reach 300 mph and this is the team’s second try; we see whether Richard Rawlings and the sizable team in a cool location manage to coax enough power (and bravery) out of the car and driver on the airfield to see if the impossible is… well, possible.
The Richard Rawling’s And Johnny Bohmer Record Breaking-Ford GT
This is in fact a collaboration between Rawlings and Johnny Bohmer with his custom first-gen Ford GT, a car that gets turned up to 10 in order to reach the hallowed 300 mph point.
It’s a 2006 Ford GT with around 1,800 hp at the start of the video, with forced induction pushing the powerplant to its limit. The team is at Space Florida’s Launch and Landing Facility, located in Kennedy Space Center, Florida and we get plenty of behind-the-scenes footage of the prep work.
