The Ford Mach-E Is An EV Crossover That Wants To Be A Muscle Car
Going back over the facts; this started production at the end of 2020 and is still in its first generation; it can be bought online from $44,000 from Ford and features a pure-EV drivetrain.
In the entry-level car, a single motor drives the rear wheels, offering 266 hp or 290 hp from a standard-range or long-range battery, respectively.
The all-wheel-drive variant has two motors, with 266 hp or 346 hp, depending on the battery pack installed.
Even with the 266 hp entry-level car, torque is up at 428 lb-ft and 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds – not bad figures for sure, but perhaps required in such a heavy car.
