Why The Singer Safari 911 Is Cooler Than The Porsche 911 Dakar

Just under a month ago, Porsche unveiled a car that got many of us pretty excited. This was its Porsche 911 Dakar. A limited edition of the Porsche 911 that pays homage to the first overall victory by Porsche in the Paris-Dakar Rally back in 1984. It is a stunning looking machine that can even come with a livery reminiscent of the Porsche 953 that won the event back in 1984. However, we think that as cool as the 911 Dakar is, there is an even cooler off-road 911 out there.
Enter Singer, and their amazing Reimagined 911 Safari, also known as the All-terrain Competition Study, or ACS. We will call it the Singer Safari in this piece. The Singer Safari is an even wilder interpretation of an off-roading 911, with larger tires, more radical kit and a much more bespoke focus to off-roading in general. It very much looks like a Porsche 964 and a Trophy Truck had offspring together, and we absolutely love it. While the 911 Dakar is fun, the Singer Safari takes 911 off-roading to the next level.
Built In Partnership With A Historic 911 Legend
This epic car was actually created at the request of a long-standing Singer customer, and it marked Singer’s first attempt at a competition car. Singer did not go it alone with this creation though.
